First full day with the team

Our next team is here.  Their flight came in the afternoon, an the boys really wanted to go to the airport to pick up "Johns People " so we had Isar drive and we all piled in.  They had god flights, but did manage to have 3 bags delayed.  Apparently they are here now and Sergey will go to Bishkek in the morning to pick them up for us.  But we are excited to have them here.

Before they got here we had a bit of work to do. Olga and her volunteers have started a homeless feeding program.  I stooped by and was happy to see an old friend.

At the farm the boys helped me to build a table saw and router table.  We wil be able to use it to make furniture and to make our own window and door trim.

So back at the airport, the boys thought that the best part was the coffee shop.  They enjoyed their Vanilla Late .

This morning we were at the bazaar.  We went to buy some beef cattle, but while waiting for Jengish and Dave I came across Peter .. As I walked through the small animal section there was something a little different about him..  I made a low ball offer and next thing I know he was mine.  He is so friendly and rode around perched on my arm for the rest of the morning, very comfortable their and in tune with everything going on.  he never tried to fly away despite all the action going on, and loved any attention I gave him .

We did manage to get three awesome bulls.  We had arranged to have the butcher come out to the farm next week, but I am fairly sure that this one will be with us a little longer. He is absolutely beautiful . Jengish says that maybe we should hurry up and name him.

we did end up with a couple new calves as well .. Both were very nice calves and even better prices.  Since the cattle truck was full, they rode home in the back of Jengish's truck.

After the bazaar we took the team for a little tour of the farm and some of the projects there that they will be working on over the next week and a bit.   It is looking like by the end of the week we may even gets some seeds in the ground in the green house.

We found a great deal at the farm on winter boots, so we got new boots for the boys.  The team gave them out after supper tonight.

Tomorrow morning we will be working around the farm.  Fixing some windows and doors before winter, as well as making strawberry jam with the last of the berries.  We will also make a big chicken stew, then will be going out to the seniors home for a visit and make them supper.
